Job summary

Southern Hills Rehab Center is seeking an Activities Assistant for the evening and weekend shift. This part-time role focuses on planning engaging activities to enhance residents' well-being and dignity within a compassionate team.

You will lead groups and individual activities, document participation, and support events. The role calls for a positive, patient, and collaborative approach in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare or social services setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina to lift, move, and transport equipment and supplies (up to 25 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing activities for diverse resident interests.
• Lead groups and individual activities ensuring safety and enjoyment.
• Collaborate to develop innovative activity programs for engagement and well-being.
• Maintain records of participation, schedules, and supply inventory.
• Support events, outings, and celebrations with the activities director.
• Participate in care conferences and contribute to individualized care plans.
