Job summary

Excel Facility Services in Oakland, NJ is seeking a reliable janitor to provide excellent cleaning services. You will keep assigned areas clean and follow the scope of work for multiple locations.

This part-time role runs Monday through Friday from 6:30pm to 8:00pm (7.5 hours weekly). Responsibilities include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, bathrooms, break rooms, stocking, and safety compliance, with opportunities to participate in training.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and cleaning products.

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Clean countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
• Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
• Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
• Dust and clean cashier stalls, ceiling light fixtures.
• Clean windows and mirrors.
• Maintain janitor closets in a clean, safe and operable condition.
• Follow safety rules and use safety precautions.
• Complete SOW as requested and assigned by the manager per location.
• Perform general cleaning tasks throughout our building.
• Restock supplies in areas assigned.
• Notify supervisor of necessary repairs.
• Participate in workshops, training, and seminars.
• Request janitorial supplies to ensure adequate quantities.
• Ensure doors are locked at night (if applicable).
• Must use Time and Attendance system to report hours and payroll purposes.
• Must complete IVR system if applicable or notify manager ASAP if any issues.
• Must wear uniform and IDs while working.
