Job summary

CMC Hotels is seeking a Part Time Evening Houseman/Porter for Springhill Suites Durham/Chapel Hill. This role supports guest satisfaction through the upkeep and cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas within the hotel.

You will perform duties including cleaning public areas, removing trash, sweeping and vacuuming, reporting maintenance issues, spot cleaning, restocking storerooms, and keeping areas neat.

Qualifications

• Be self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
• Ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Understand all standards of room cleanliness.
• Clean all public areas in and around the hotel.
• Remove trash and dirty linens from rooms.
• Sweep and vacuum floors.
• Report maintenance issues to your immediate supervisor.
• Spot cleaning walls, carpets, light fixtures, etc.
• Replenish storeroom supplies when necessary.
• Keep storerooms neat and orderly.

Job Description- Responsible for helping achieve ongoing guest satisfaction through the upkeep and cleanliness of guest rooms & public areas.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Understanding all standards of room cleanliness
• Clean all public areas in and around the Hotel
• Removing trash and dirty linens from rooms
