Job summary

Hampton Behavioral Health Center is seeking a part-time Unit Coordinator to manage clerical functions on a nursing unit and support patient care. Hours are 6:45 pm–3:15 pm, 3 days a week with rotating weekends, on site.

The role requires a high school diploma, CPR & 1st Aid certification, and at least 1 year of experience with psychiatric patients; prior secretarial experience is preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR & 1st Aid Certification required.
• One year experience with a psychiatric patient population; prior secretarial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage clerical functions of the nursing unit to support patient care.
• Assist in direct care and management of patients with medical and behavioral issues.
• Support unit programming to carry over therapy issues and activities of daily living.
• Communicate effectively orally, telephonically, and in writing.
• Maintain documentation and time management; operate computer systems with various software.
