Job summary

Hampton Behavioral Health Center is seeking a Part-time Unit Coordinator to support nursing staff on the unit. The role focuses on clerical tasks, patient care support, documentation, and coordination of routine activities for adults with behavioral health needs.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid certification, and at least one year of psychiatric patient population experience. On-site position with rotating weekends and evening hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR & 1st Aid Certification required.
• One year experience working with a psychiatric patient population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Must possess experience and knowledge of interventional and administrative duties necessary to support nursing and patient care on assigned unit.
• Assists in the direct care and management of patients with medical and behavioral issues as directed by the treatment team.
• Knowledge of dual diagnosis/chemical dependency/mental health patient issues; age-specific patient issues, limit setting and behavior management.
• Knowledge of regulatory agency standards (DOH, DPW, CMS, Joint Commission, etc.).
• Good documentation, organization and time management skills; effective in decision-making and problem solving.
