Job summary

CAMBA Inc. seeks a part-time ESOL instructor to teach adults in Flatbush/East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Classes build listening, speaking, reading, writing, numeracy and workplace skills to help learners obtain employment.

Responsibilities include developing lessons, delivering on-site instruction, tracking attendance, and reporting progress. A Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field and one year of experience are required; bilinguals and TESOL credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field required.
• At least one year of applicable/equivalent experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel; familiarity with other MS Office apps.

Responsibilities

• Instruct adults in academic and/or nonacademic subjects.
• Research and develop instructional materials and lesson plans.
• Prepare and grade assessments and monitor student progress.
• Maintain attendance records and coordinate with case managers.
• Support students in achieving goals like training, employment, or further education.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
