Midland College in Midland, Texas is seeking a part-time ESL Adult Basic Education Instructor to teach adults English skills at Cogdell Learning Center. The role supports adults seeking ESL services through Midland College’s Adult Basic Education Program, with online and in-person delivery options. The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and offers a schedule of classes plus designated PD and meetings. The salary is $27.50 hourly.

Qualifications

• An earned Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external groups.
• Willingness to participate in collaborative projects with colleagues and instructional leaders.

Responsibilities

• Instruct ESL students with varying levels of mastery.
• Teach in-person, online, or hybrid modalities as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with students and stakeholders.
• Integrate workplace competencies into instruction.
• Report and interpret test results for individual students.
• Create and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Provide tutoring and additional instructional support.
• Attend required staff meetings.
• Complete 15 clock hours of professional development as assigned through the state training portal.
• Participate in student registration and orientation as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
