Job summary

Germanna Community College seeks an ESL Adjunct for the 2027 Academic Year to teach English as a Second Language both in-person and online. The adjunct may teach up to 12 credit hours in fall/spring and up to 8 in summer, with no guaranteed continued employment.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor's in ESL or related field, demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills, and be committed to diversity. Willingness to learn AI tools and use Canvas is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Teach ESL courses in-person and online.
• Develop course syllabi and instructional materials.
• Maintain records, assign grades, and monitor student progress.
• Adhere to GCC and VCCS policies and procedures.
• Maintain currency in the discipline and use appropriate tech tools.
