Job summary

DORN Companies in Danbury, CT, seeks a Part-Time Injury Prevention Specialist with ergonomics experience to perform on-site ergonomic risk analyses and coaching. This contractor role focuses on observation, training, and behavior-based prevention, with 4–8 hours weekly and morning shifts preferred.

Professionals with ergonomics certification or related training in occupational health or kinesiology are encouraged to apply. The role supports safety programs and client sites across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ergonomics, kinesiology, human factors, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, industrial engineering, or related field.
• Ergonomics certifications preferred (e.g., CPE, CCPE, CEES, COES, REPA, or equivalent).
• Experience in workplace ergonomics, human movement, or occupational health setting (minimum 2 years).

Responsibilities

• Perform ergonomic risk assessments of job tasks and workstations.
• Coach employees on posture, movement strategies, and injury prevention.
• Provide 1-on-1 and group education to reinforce ergonomic best practices.
• Track trends in movement behaviors and discomfort to inform interventions.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to site safety teams.
• Document observations and feedback using DORN systems.
• Maintain regular reports to DORN and client stakeholders.
