Job summary

Garden City Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department. You will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in telemetry, collaborate with physicians, and support patient and family teaching.

A valid RN license in the state, BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC within specified timelines, and at least one year of acute care ER experience are required. BSN and CEN are preferred. Competitive part-time schedule and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice in Telemetry and Emergency Department.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and diagnostic results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with practices and regulations.
