Qualifications

• Active state RN license is required.
• BLS certification required at hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification required at hire and maintained.
• PALS and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 1 year ER/nurse experience in acute care; ER preferred.
• CEN certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and nursing staff.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality and comply with EMTALA.
