Responsibilities

• Haul material safely and efficiently, minimizing wear and damage to equipment and mine property.
• Know the work area and dump locations; follow pit policies and procedures.
• Perform pre-operational inspections to evaluate mechanical condition of the truck.
• Assist in developing other personnel to perform duties listed above.
• Comply with all Kinross policies including safety, environmental, confidentiality, and code of conduct.
• Meet or exceed performance expectations and exercise sound judgment.
• Maintain punctuality and regular attendance; work shifts as assigned.
• Perform other related functions as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

We are seeking candidates interested in a part-time schedule for the relief operation of an off-road haul truck in an active mine environment. The work schedule would be a maximum of 130 hours a month. Incumbents would be responsible for commuting to and from the site. The Company medical insurance is not provided, however, an insurance stipend is available if there is no other access to insurance. Incumbents must work well independently and with other Operators. They must be willing to adapt to shifting priorities, requests, and changing environments. All work must be completed in a safe and efficient manner while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross’ values.

Candidates are being interviewed for DAY SHIFT ONLY or for NIGHT SHIFT ONLY – this position does not rotate between the two shifts.

*Assigned schedule subject to change to support the Relief Driver Program.
