Job summary

Rite of Passage Brand in Queen Creek, AZ is seeking a Part-Time Equine & Farm Paraprofessional to support our nonprofit program serving at-risk and troubled youth.

You will help with daily care of horses and farm animals, assist with feeding, grooming, and classroom activities under supervision, and contribute to a safe, encouraging environment outdoors. No prior experience required but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential; must pass background check.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Genuine interest in horses, animals, and working with youth.
• Positive attitude, patience, dependability, and willingness to learn.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Comfortable working outdoors and around horses and other farm animals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily care of horses and farm animals.
• Help with feeding, watering, grooming, and general animal care.
• Assist with stalls, paddocks, and general farm maintenance.
• Support students during equine and animal-related activities.
• Assist with small animal and gardening activities.
• Support the instructor with classroom and hands-on learning activities.
• Help create a safe, positive environment for youth.
• Follow directions and safety procedures when working with students and animals.
• Work as part of a team to support daily program needs.
