Job summary

Rite of Passage in Queen Creek, AZ is seeking a Part-Time Equine & Farm Paraprofessional to join our nonprofit program serving at-risk and troubled youth. This hands-on role involves caring for horses, farm animals, and supporting students during equine, small animal, and gardening activities.

You’ll assist with daily animal care, help with feeding and grooming, and support instructors to create a safe, encouraging environment. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Genuine interest in horses, animals, and working with youth.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to learn and dependable.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily care of horses and farm animals.
• Help with feeding, watering, grooming, and general animal care.
• Assist with stalls, paddocks, and general farm maintenance.
• Support students during equine and animal-related activities.
• Assist with small animal and gardening activities.
• Support the instructor with classroom and hands-on learning activities.
• Help create a safe, positive environment for youth.
• Follow directions and safety procedures when working with students and animals.
• Work as part of a team to support the daily needs of the program.
