Job summary

Fox Valley Park District is seeking a part-time Program and Rental Coordinator for Red Oak Nature Center in Aurora, IL. The role involves coordinating facility rentals, assisting in birthday parties, and updating scout and outreach programs.

You will deliver environmental education programs to schools, families and the public, including animal handling and safe operations. This position supports daily operations, requires strong customer service and organizational skills, and offers part-time

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with at least two years of related experience or equivalent education/experience.
Strong background in environmental education preferred.
Experience creating and presenting programming.
Excellent customer service and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proficient in MS Office and Canva; recreation software experience is a plus.
Good leadership and facilitation/presentation skills.
CPR, AED and First Aid certification within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

Coordinate facility rentals under supervision for Red Oak Nature Center.
Assist in birthday party planning and updating scout programs and outreach.
Provide instruction on environmental education for schools, families and the public.
Handle Nature Center animals safely and maintain confidential information.
Attend staff meetings and contribute to reports and communications.
Assist with summer camp and school programs as directed.
