Job summary

Lawrence Technological University invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty position to teach Environmental Engineering 1 during Spring 2027 (Jan 11–Apr 30, 2027). The course covers unit processes and design for water treatment, with lectures and a laboratory component.

Responsibilities include teaching the 3-credit lecture, mentoring a TA for the 1-credit lab, and delivering materials, assignments, and assessments. Instructors may teach in-person, hybrid, or online as arranged.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 2–3 years of relevant professional practice.
• Expertise in environmental engineering and water infrastructure systems.
• Preferred: university teaching or mentoring experience; PE license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach one 3-credit lecture course (3 contact hours/week + 2-hour final exam/project).
• Guide and mentor a Teaching Assistant (TA) for a 1-credit laboratory course (2 contact hours/week).
• Prepare course materials, assignments, and assessments.
• Provide timely grading, feedback, and student support
• Deliver the course via on-ground, hybrid, or online modalities as arranged
