Job summary

Dauphin County Parks & Recreation is seeking a Part-Time Environmental Educator. This role is 2–3 days per week year-round, including some weekends, with an hourly rate of $18.00.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or an accredited equivalency program; preferred bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation, environmental education, the natural sciences or related field.

Responsibilities

• Leading environmental education and recreation programs for schools, community groups, and the public.
• Planning and guiding park service groups.
• Helping protect natural resources.
• Creating interpretive displays and other educational materials.
• Assist in the daily operations and administration of Wildwood Park and the Olewine Nature Center.

Education
