Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers school elementary curriculum consistent with district goals.
• Promotes a classroom environment safe for individualized and small group instruction.
• Develops lesson plans and translates them into learning experiences.
• Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and adjusts instruction.
• Instructs students in citizenship and duties as per laws and regulations.
• Attends seminars/workshops for professional growth.
• Maintains accurate records of grades, attendance and progress.
• Encourages parental involvement and communicates with families.
• Ensures classroom conduct meets school policies and standards.
• Coordinates with staff within grade level for curriculum evaluation.
• Selects resources and maintains inventory of supplies.
• Supervises students during activities outside class and during transportation.
• Administers standardized tests per district programs.
