Job summary

The College of Lake County seeks a part-time Adjunct Faculty member in Physics to teach transfer level Physics courses at our Grayslake and Southlake Campuses. The role involves developing instructional materials, assessing student performance, and engaging with a diverse student body. A M.S. Degree in Physics or Physics Education is required, along with the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds. Compensation is based on a per load hour schedule, and the expected start date is May 1, 2026.

Qualifications

• M.S. Degree in Physics or Physics Education required.
• Teaching experience at High School or post-secondary level desired.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach Physics courses at Grayslake and Southlake Campuses.
• Develop instructional materials and assess student learning.
• Maintain current knowledge of subject matter and policies.
