Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering, physics, or applied mathematics, or Master's in any field with 18 graduate credits in related areas.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license and 5+ years in engineering research/industry OR 10+ years in engineering research/industry with a related degree.
• Commitment to serving underrepresented populations or populations affected by societal inequities.

Responsibilities

• Meet all scheduled classes and provide instruction per course outline.
• Use teaching methods to reach diverse student backgrounds and help each student master objectives.
• Inform students of course requirements via syllabus with specific objectives, methods, and assessment.
• Evaluate students regularly and provide feedback on progress.
• Participate in department/college assessment of student learning outcomes.
• Recommend instructional materials and equipment; utilize library resources.
• Maintain records as required by policy and procedures.
• Promote affirmative action and equal opportunity concepts within responsibilities.
• Maintain credentials, licenses, and up-to-date knowledge in the subject matter.
