Job summary

Motlow State Community College is seeking an adjunct Engineering faculty member for a pool of candidates to teach engineering and related courses. The position covers multiple campuses in Tennessee and involves teaching assignments as needed.

Successful candidates will have a Master’s degree in a relevant field (engineering or physics) or equivalent graduate hours, with a strong focus on student learning and college expectations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in discipline or a qualifying field earned from a regionally accredited institution by the application date.
• A Master’s degree in any field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in discipline or a qualifying field earned from a regionally accredited college or university by the application date.
• Ability to teach engineering or physics courses at adjunct level.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned in accordance with the catalog description and the approved course syllabus.
• Teach dual enrollment classes at area high schools as assigned.
• Travel to multiple campuses as assigned.
• Collaborate with faculty and administration to support curricular and programmatic needs.
• Maintain current with developments in the teaching discipline and incorporate updates into instruction.
