Job summary

Gulf Comprehensive Surgery Center is seeking a Part-Time Endoscopy Technician to support the GI suite during outpatient endoscopic procedures. The role involves assisting the surgeon, operating specialized equipment, and maintaining strict cleaning and disinfection of endoscopes and instruments.

Experience in a GI lab is required; ambulatory surgery center experience is preferred. Current BLS is required, ACLS preferred. This position offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a GI Lab.
• Current BLS required.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center or surgical hospital preferred.
• ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• The GI technician functions under the direct supervision of a surgeon to assist with operation of technical equipment used during endoscopic procedures.
• The GI technician works as part of the team in the procedure room to provide optimal conditions for positive patient outcomes.
• The GI technician is responsible for cleaning, disinfecting and maintaining endoscopes and other instrumentation.
• Facilitate patient flow and room turnover; stock procedure rooms and order supplies; perform clerical duties.
