Job summary

AMSURG is seeking a Part Time Staff Nurse to provide professional, direct patient care within the ambulatory surgery center setting. The role reports to the Nurse Manager and requires an active RN license in Delaware, CPR/ACLS-PALS as appropriate, and at least one year of ambulatory surgery center experience.

Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring patients, documenting care, and ensuring privacy and safety throughout pre, intra, and post-procedural phases.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing.
• RN with active license, no restrictions (DE).
• One year of nursing experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
• CPR certification and/or ACLS-PALS certification (as required by Center).
• Strong ethical and moral character references.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Follows all policies and procedures of the Center.
• Performs nursing assessments, planning, and documentation.
• Administers medications per physician orders and monitors responses.
• Assesses patient status pre, intra and post procedure and ensures safety.
• Transports patients and verifies procedures with patients and team.
• Maintains patient privacy and dignity; collaborates with healthcare team for safe continuity of care.
• Participates in endoscopy process and pre/post-procedure activities.
