Job summary

SUNY Niagara’s Division of Workforce Development seeks a part-time instructor to assist with teaching an EMT / AEMT course as a Lab instructor (CLI). The role requires in-person instruction with capability to teach online via Zoom; adherence to SUNY Niagara and college HR requirements is expected.

The instructor will provide psychomotor skills instruction in line with NYS guidelines, fostering a student-centered environment focused on engagement and career readiness upon program completion.

Qualifications

Certified NYS EMT or higher for at least 1 year.
Certified NYS CLI or willing to become certified.
Active with an EMS agency.
Region credentialed with no restrictions.

Responsibilities

Assist CIC with course materials, assessments, and required syllabi each term.
Deliver comprehensive lab instruction following the course outline.
Prepare students for NYS DOH BEMS PSE Exam knowledge requirements.
Provide timely feedback on student progress and correct assignments.
Submit Bi-Weekly Time Sheets and maintain attendance records.
Record student progress and manage graded materials for each student.
Perform other duties as assigned by the CIC.

Education

Currently certified as NYS EMT or higher for at least 1 year.

Currently certified as NYS CLI or willing to become certified

Active with an EMS agency

Region credentialed with no restrictions
