Portland Community College's Emergency Medical Services Department at Cascade Campus invites qualified individuals to join a part-time faculty interest pool. Applications are reviewed as needs arise throughout the academic year.

Candidates must maintain Oregon paramedic licensure, meet instructor certifications, and have teaching or training experience, preferably with online or hybrid formats. PCC offers benefits, a supportive campus community, and opportunities for professional development;

Qualifications

• Currently licensed Oregon Paramedic, or higher, in good standing with OHA EMS and TS.
• Three years experience at the paramedic level or higher.
• AHA BLS Instructor Certified or equivalent.
• ACLS Instructor Certified.
• BTLS or PHTLS Instructor Certified.
• At least one of: NFPA Instructor 1; DPSST Fire Service Instructor I and II; NAEMSE EMT Instructor; 40 hours of DPSST Instructor Development Program; transcripted college algebra or higher.
• Participating in Course Director Updates offered by OHA.
• Transcripted evidence of math competency equivalent to college algebra, or higher.
• AAS or higher in EMS/Fire/EMS-related fields OR Bachelor’s degree or higher.
