The Paramedic provides patient care in both emergency and non-emergency settings. This position ensures compliance with all applicable state EMS rules and regulations and maintains ambulance equipment and vehicles in a clean and operational condition. The Paramedic must maintain all required licenses and certifications, including a valid State of Georgia driver's license. Employees are expected to attend all mandatory training and follow company policies, medical protocols, and standing orders. Employees hired into this position are subject to a six-month introductory probationary period.
Due to the nature of emergency medical services, employees may be exposed to inclement weather, hazardous conditions, infectious diseases, psychological stress, and other challenging situations. Frequent interruptions, high-pressure environments, difficult interactions, and irregular work schedules are expected. Employees may occasionally be required to attend meetings outside of normal working hours. Depending on call volume and operational needs, employees may experience extended periods without sleep, meals, or breaks.
