Qualifications

• Master's degree in school counseling or related field.

• Understanding of adolescent development, mental health, and trauma-informed practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small group counseling to address academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Assist students in goal-setting, problem-solving, and decision-making.
• Facilitate classroom guidance lessons on conflict resolution, self-awareness, and college/career planning.
• Serve as a resource and liaison among students, families, teachers, and administration.
• Monitor academic performance and collaborate with teachers to develop intervention strategies.
• Identify students in crisis and provide appropriate referrals and follow-up.
• Coordinate with outside agencies, mental health professionals, and community resources when needed.
• Assist with the transition planning for new and graduating students.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records and reports in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to a positive school climate.
