Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom/staff as needed.
• Work with one or more students on educational tasks as designated.
• Review student work under supervision.
• Supervise students during instructional activities and transitions.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and refer issues to the teacher.
• Accept work assignments with any student as designated.
• Assist in setting and maintaining reasonable behavior and performance standards.
• Escort children to and from transportation safely.
• Assist in collecting data on student performance, goals and behavior.
• Report all student accidents/incidents to the supervising teacher promptly.
• Handle some clerical responsibilities as requested.
• Follow individual student safety plans (IEP, 504, etc.).
• Work with students in various school settings (small groups, classrooms, recess, etc.).
• Participate in professional development opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
