Job summary

Green Brook Township Public Schools is seeking a Part Time Elementary School Instructional Aide for Irene E. Feldkirchner Elementary School. The role pays $25.60–$27.99 per hour and runs for ten months.

Under supervision, you will assist faculty in delivering instruction and supporting student learning to meet curriculum goals. The position requires a valid County Substitute Certificate, preferred NJ teaching certification, and a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey teaching certificate or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (Preferred).
• Holds Bachelor's Degree (Preferred).
• Possesses valid County Substitute Certificate (Required).
• Demonstrates skill in both written and oral communications and human relations.
• Completes required criminal history check and proof of U.S. Citizenship or legal resident status.
• Alternatives to qualifications may be considered by the Board.

Responsibilities

• Assists the classroom teacher in delivering an effective instructional program.
• Works with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assists with enrichment or remedial work in independent study, labs, computer software activities, and other activities.
• Operates and cares for classroom equipment used for instructional purposes.
• Helps students master equipment or instructional materials.
• In emergencies, serves as a substitute teacher.
• Assists teacher in designing strategies to reinforce knowledge for individual needs.
• Maintains inventory and organizes educational materials and instructional documents.
