Job summary

Hinds Community College is seeking an Adjunct/Part-Time Instructor in Electrical Technology to teach a range of electrical courses, including Fundamentals of Electricity and Residential Wiring. The position reports to the CTE Dean for Construction and Manufacturing.

Qualified candidates will have an Associate degree in Electrical Technology or related field and/or at least three years of relevant work experience. Journeyman Electrician credentials are considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's not required; Associate degree or higher in Electrical Technology or related field and/or 3+ years of field experience.
• Journeyman Electrician qualification will be considered for adjunct role.
• Ability to teach and convey theoretical and practical electrical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned Electrical Technology classes according to department policies.
• Prepare course syllabi and unit objectives; provide course materials.
• Maintain attendance, grades, and timely reports; keep accurate records.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to program goals.
• Develop a personal and professional improvement plan as needed.
