Job summary

Windham Southeast Supervisory Union Windham Regional Career Center - Brattleboro, Vermont seeks a Licensed Master Electrician to develop and teach a program preparing students for electrical apprenticeships or higher education. This part-time position involves curriculum development, record keeping, and collaboration with local industry and state agencies.

Responsibilities include delivering engaging instruction, evaluating student progress, and maintaining an active Electrical Advisory

Qualifications

• Licensed electrician in Vermont; apprentice experience preferred.
• Willingness to work with VT CTE instructors on program development.
• Ability to build contacts with local industry members.
• Ability to attend trainings as needed.
• Ability to communicate with parents.
• Ability to lift at least 45 lbs.
• Must become a licensed CTE Instructor within the first 3 years.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Develop curriculum and programming to build students’ knowledge and skills for electrician training.
• Maintain accurate student records including attendance, schedules and hours of instruction.
• Evaluate and document student progress through testing and assessments.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and partner sites and agencies.
• Provide a stimulating environment that encourages participation and service concepts.
• Maintain data and other required information.
• Maintain an active Electrical Advisory Committee.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director.
