Job Goal

To assist in providing academic intervention in small group settings and facilitate literacy integration.

Performance Responsibilities

• Prepare and implement small group activities under the supervision of a highly qualified teacher.
• Work with students to deliver direct instruction.
• Maintain confidentiality concerning student records, data and personal information.
• Utilize planning time in the classroom under the direction of the teacher.
• Guide independent study and enrichment work.
• Supervise a small group of students.
• Assist students by providing proper examples, emotional support, and a friendly attitude.
• Confers with teacher concerning materials to meet students’ needs.
• Participate in professional development activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Terms of Employment

36 weeks / no more than 25 hours weekly / $30 hourly.

Evaluation

Performance will be evaluated by the principal.
