Job summary

Bethany Christian Schools in Goshen, IN is seeking a Casual EL Tutor to support English language learners within classrooms and the resource center. The tutor will assist with EL instruction in various settings and report to the EL Teacher of Record and building administration.

Responsibilities include maintaining EL information, regular communication with teachers and administrators, and coordinating with parents as directed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Fluent in English and bilingual in Spanish.
• Desire to work with children from diverse cultures.
• Prior experience with English Language Learners preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with instruction of EL students in various settings.
• Keeps EL information updated with school and district offices.
• Works under supervision of the EL Teacher of Record and administration.
• Communicates regularly with EL teacher and administrators.
• Communicates with parents as directed by EL teacher/administrator.
• Develops good relationships with staff and administrators.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
