Job summary

Baystate Health in Springfield, MA is seeking a part-time EKG Technician. Under the EKG Medical Director, you will prepare patients for testing, perform EKGs, apply Holter monitors, and ensure data is accurately recorded in SMS, CIS, Muse, and Mars systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association.
• 3 years of EKG experience (preferred).
• 1 year of Holter monitoring experience (preferred).
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for EKG testing and perform required procedures.
• Maintain and clean all EKG equipment; report malfunctions.
• Manage supplies and inventory; request replacements as needed.
• Record data in CIS, SMS, Muse, and Mars systems.
• Apply holter monitors and instruct patients in their use.
• Identify life-threatening dysrhythmias and report to physicians.
