Job summary

Timken is seeking a dedicated part-time EHS Technician to support safety, environmental, and health initiatives on a Professional Experience Program. You will monitor compliance, document findings, and coordinate corrective actions to improve site safety and environmental performance.

Responsibilities include ISO 14001 Gemba walks, data system streamlining, training support, recycling programs, and contributing to continuous improvement of EHS processes.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college, university, or technical school (undergraduate or relevant post‑secondary programs).
• Minimum GPA of 2.8 or higher.
• Commit to the program schedule and safety/confidentiality requirements.
• Proven experience in technical training, instructional design, or related field.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily ISO 14001 Gemba walks.
• Streamline environmental and safety data systems (Gensuite, WAST, Critical Point Gemba).
• Support EHS training programs and employee engagement.
• Support recycling and universal waste programs.
• Assist with site safety initiatives.
• Support continual improvement of EHS compliance and processes.
• Convert PowerPoint training to recordings for TU submissions.
• Assign Gensuite tasks as experience increases.
