Job summary

Medford School District 549C is seeking an Educational Support Staff member for Jacksonville Elementary. This 3.75 hour/day position begins in the 2026-2027 school year and focuses on assisting teachers in literacy and mathematics interventions, supervising students, and handling routine office tasks.

The role requires an Associate's degree or equivalent, English fluency, and the ability to work with diverse students. Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must meet current No Child Left Behind (NCLB) requirements.
• Language Skills: English fluency; bilingual English/Spanish preferred and ability to communicate clearly in writing and speech.
• Interpersonal: Ability to interact with teachers, staff, community, and students; maintain confidentiality and team orientation.
• Physical and safety: comfortable with typical classroom environment and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists teacher in instructional setting and with literacy and math interventions.
• Prepares instructional materials and delivers small group instruction.
• Supervises students and ensures safety across school areas.
• Maintains student data and progress records.
• Performs clerical tasks and supports office functions as needed.
• Assists with attendance, communications, and parent involvement activities.
