Job summary

Laerdal Medical in the Seattle area is seeking a Part-Time Educational Services Specialist to deliver educational services portfolio information to clients, applying instructional methodology and clinical experience to help clients deliver high quality medical training that saves lives.

Responsibilities include learning needs assessment, product and solutions expertise, consultative recommendations, customized training support, and ensuring compliance with organizational processes while using

Qualifications

• BS or equivalent in a medical discipline and/or BA in teaching/education.
• 3-5 years' experience in clinical practice or teaching.
• Experience with Laerdal's high fidelity simulators.
• License in a recognized standard such as NREMT or RN is desirable.
• Experience in medical simulation training.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates client educational goals and training requirements.
• Identifies gaps in skills, curriculum, and instructional resources.
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of the Laerdal Education Services portfolio, including economic, clinical, and educational benefits.
• Uses product knowledge to match the right solutions to customer needs.
• Advises clients on appropriate products, services, and programs to enhance training capabilities.
• Tailors recommendations to the developmental stage and goals of each client.
• Applies product knowledge to support client development through customized and standard training.
• Contributes to curricular planning, courseware utilization (including SimStore), training plans, lesson plans, and specialized training materials.
• Follows organizational policies and procedures.
• Maintains proficiency in required systems such as Salesforce.

Position Overview:

The role of the Part-Time Educational Services Specialist is to deliver educational services product & service portfolio information to external and internal customers while applying knowledge of educational methodology, clinical experience, and specific simulation needs of the client. This delivery should further the development & improvement of the clients' capability to deliver high quality medical training intended to help save lives.

Requirements:

• Ideal candidate must reside within a 60-mile radius of Seattle, WA
• BS or equivalent in a medical discipline &/or,
• BA or equivalent in teaching & education.
• 3-5 years' experience in clinical practice or teaching.
• Experience with Laerdal's high fidelity simulators.
• Experience in/with the following areas is highly desirable: Clinical education and/or healthcare environments, license and/or certification in a recognized standard such as NREMT or RN
• Medical computer or simulation-based training

Daily Rate: $750 per SA ("Teaching Rate" - includes time, materials, and meals), $500 for travel and training

The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, but not limited to; the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, location, level of education attained, and/or professional certifications, years of relevant experience, special skills, etc.
