Penn State University’s Student Disability Resources is seeking a part-time Educational Assistant to support a visually impaired student in ART 080: Introduction to Ceramics during Fall 2026 at the Mont Alto campus. The role involves verbal descriptions of demonstrations, tools, materials, and ongoing class activities to enable full participation in hands-on studio work.
In-person position with a schedule of Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, approximately 15–20 hours per week.
Student Disability Resources (SDR) is seeking a part-time Educational Assistant to support a visually impaired student enrolled in ART 080: Introduction to Ceramics during the Fall 2026 semester. The individual hired for this role will provide verbal descriptions of visual information and assist with participation in hands-on class and studio activities.
This position requires in-person attendance at scheduled class sessions on the Penn State Mont Alto campus. Final schedules will be determined in consultation with SDR based on availability and course coverage needs.
Course Schedule: Thursday, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
Multiple Educational Assistants may be hired to cover portions of the student’s schedule. Applicants do not need to be available for every class period listed above.
All job-related training will be provided prior to the start of the semester. The individual hired for this role is not responsible for teaching course material or providing tutoring services. Educational Assistants work under the guidance of Student Disability Resources to facilitate student access and participation in academic activities.
$16.00 per hour.
