Job summary

Summit Elementary in Casper, Wyoming is seeking a Part-Time Education Support Personnel/Cafeteria Technician to support students and prepare meals. The role combines education support duties with cafeteria responsibilities, under the supervision of the principal.

Starting immediately, the position requires high school graduation or GED and offers two wage streams per hour. The Education Support component focuses on assisting in monitoring, instruction, and behavior support for special education

Qualifications

• Education Support Personnel duties including monitoring and instruction of students under certified staff supervision.
• Provide for behavioral and social skill instruction for special education students (BEST/FLS).
• Observe and document student progress and assist in implementing instructional plans.

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom activities and materials for students at different levels or with different limitations.
• Assist BEST, FLS, APE, ABLE or Work Study students with daily living skills to support learning.
• Assist certified staff with a variety of instructional activities to reinforce learning objectives.
• Communicate with teachers, students, parents and district personnel about student progress.
• Maintain student files and instructional materials for documentation and accessibility.
