JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Pennsylvania State University is seeking to hire a part-time educational program specialist to assist and support education abroad programs for summer customized programs.
This position will assist the faculty/program leader for a Penn State Education Abroad program and will serve as an official representative of Penn State for the duration of the education abroad program. Duties include some or all of the following:
Some Program Assistants will also be asked to assume teaching as well as program budget responsibilities. Programs range in length from two to ten weeks and work with groups of eight to forty students. The Penn State Program Assistant must attend workshops for training in risk management and budget management; optional training on topics such as student conduct will be available for program assistants. Program Assistants must uphold Penn State education abroad program leader responsibilities as outlined by Education Abroad and must enforce Penn State policies while abroad. Familiarity with the destination and foreign language is preferred.
