Job summary

Lanier Technical College is seeking an Adjunct Economics Instructor to teach at different campus locations. This part‑time, non‑benefits eligible role reports to the Associate Dean of General Education and pays a targeted lump sum based on contact hours.

The position requires a Master’s in Economics (or 18 graduate hours in Economics) from a regionally accredited institution, the ability to teach diverse adult learners, and the upload of unofficial transcripts.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Economics or master's with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Economics from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Experience teaching in a postsecondary environment; online instruction is a plus.
• Unofficial transcripts must be uploaded to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional instruction based on approved course syllabus.
• Prepares curriculum and syllabus for coursework taught.
• Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Administers and grades class examinations.
• Maintains records of student grades.
• Meets all deadlines assigned by Supervisor.
• Attends in-service training, workshops and seminars as needed.
