Job summary

The Boulder Chamber is seeking an Economic Impact Program Coordinator (Part Time) to support content, communications, investor and member engagement, and strategic coordination across BCEC, Boulder Together, and related programs in Boulder, CO.

The role focuses on translating strategic priorities into programs, meetings, and stakeholder opportunities, with approx. 20 hours weekly and collaborative work with multiple teams and leaders.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or Associate degree in Business, Economics, Economic Development, Communications, Public Administration, Marketing, Community Development, or a related field preferred; relevant professional experience may substitute.
  • Experience: 6–10 years of progressive experience in program coordination, economic development, chamber or association management, community engagement, communications, public affairs, or project management; experience working with business executives, investors, or other senior-level stakeholders preferred.
  • Content Knowledge & Communication: Ability to understand and communicate clearly about business, economic, and community issues; strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder-facing materials.
  • Relationship Management: Ability to work effectively with investors, members, business leaders, community partners, and Chamber staff.
  • Program Coordination: Ability to manage multiple assignments, deadlines, and follow-up items while collaborating with staff responsible for detailed project and event logistics; able to anticipate needs and move assignments forward with appropriate direction.
  • Technology: Comfortable using and quick to learn Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, AirTable, CRM systems, Zoom, and other Chamber platforms; comfort with AI and other productivity tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain working knowledge of BCEC, Boulder Together, Boulder County Film Commission, Emergency Management, and other Economic Impact priorities to support leadership's strategic objectives.
  • Prepare agendas, meeting materials, notes, and action items, and gather research and background information to support meetings, initiatives, and decision-making.
  • Track priorities, accomplishments, metrics, and follow-up items across Economic Impact programs.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with investors, members, Film Commission participants, business leaders, and community partners.
  • Support investor and member outreach, engagement, follow-up, and program participation.
  • Help identify business leaders, subject-matter experts, speakers, and partners for meetings and programs.
  • Maintain accurate participant, investor, and engagement information in Chamber systems.
  • Support routine program communications, including invitations, reminders, speaker communications, stakeholder updates, newsletter content, and follow-up emails.
  • Assist with presentations, briefing materials, and program summaries as directed by Economic Impact leadership.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing Team and other departments on program communications and promotion.
  • Research speakers, partners, locations, and other resources to support programs.
  • Support BCEC investor meetings, executive briefings, roundtables, and other engagement opportunities, including the BCEC Standing Strong Holiday Mixer.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics for BCEC and other Economic Impact meetings and events — including ordering food and beverage, room setup, and materials — in coordination with Operations.
  • Own the strategic, stakeholder, and logistical components of Boulder Together — attending monthly planning meetings, coordinating with the Marketing Team on participant communications, and coordinating off-site gatherings such as the Summer Social and All Investors Meeting — with administrative support from the Boulder Together Project Manager.
  • Support Boulder County Film Commission programs, member engagement, creative-industry initiatives, and special projects.
  • Support Emergency Management and business resilience initiatives, including preparedness programs, stakeholder coordination, resource information, and business communications.
  • Support other Economic Impact projects and initiatives as assigned.
