Job summary

Parklane Elementary School in Portland, Oregon is seeking an Educational Assistant - Early Literacy (4 hours) to support a certificated teacher in planning and implementing instructional programs for elementary students in the general education setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent with two years of higher education or an associate degree required.
• Experience working with children in an academic setting preferred.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and implementing learning experiences for students with teacher oversight.
• Confer with teachers to provide feedback on student learning.
• Instruct students in small groups and one-on-one settings.
• Monitor and document student learning using approved measures.
• Support positive interpersonal relationships and a safe classroom environment.
