Job summary

Edina Public Schools is seeking a part-time Childcare Assistant for the Early Learning and Family Center. The role supports preschool teachers, supervises students, and serves as a positive role model for behavior.

Requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent) and certifications in CPR, First Aid, CPI, and DHS within six months. Eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package and pension participation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR, First Aid, CPI, and DHS Certification required within six months of hire.
• Experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Support preschool staff and engage students in early childhood programming.
• Supervise students and model appropriate behavior.
• Provide guidance and assistance as needed.
• Schedule aligns with Monday–Friday 2:00 PM–5:30 PM, 9-month position.
