Zusammenfassung

UNF Preschool-OPS is seeking a part-time assistant teacher to support early childhood education in alignment with the center’s mission and NAEYC standards. The role reports to the Lead and Assistant Teacher and involves assisting in teaching across social-emotional, physical, language, social studies and arts domains.

Responsibilities include creating a structured classroom environment, supporting student learning, and contributing to authentic assessment through portfolios and documentation

Qualifikationen

• 45hr of Department of Children and Families (DCF) rules and regulation.
• Experience working with young children.

Aufgaben

• Support young children in adherence with the preschool's philosophy and mission.
• Collaborate with Lead and Assistant Teacher to implement classroom learning experiences.
• Assist in teaching to meet social-emotional, physical, language, social studies, and arts domains.
• Help create and maintain classroom order and behavior management.
• Implement developmentally appropriate practices in daily classroom life.
• Assist in student assessment using various methods (photography, anecdotal records, children's words, artifacts).
• Help maintain portfolios for authentic assessment of each child.
• Engage in teacher inquiry and support staff in professional learning communities and conferences.
