Job summary

Bright Horizons in Maryland is seeking a part-time Assistant Teacher to support infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in an early education setting. You will assist with hands-on activities, communicate with parents about daily milestones, and help maintain a safe, clean classroom in line with Bright Horizons policies.

This position offers learning opportunities toward a CDA or college degree at no cost, and you will work in person at a Bright Horizons center, providing care and curriculum support

Qualifications

• Background checks required by state and Bright Horizons.
• Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings preferred.
• CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities meeting the needs and interests of the children.
• Maintain open communication with parents about daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
• Provide support in any classroom or age group where teaching coverage is needed across a center or in nearby locations.
