Job summary

Bright Horizons in College Park, MD is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support toddlers with hands-on activities, help maintain a safe and clean classroom, and communicate progress to families. This full-time position follows a Monday–Friday schedule, 9:00am–6:00pm, at a Bright Horizons early education center.

Applicants must pass background checks and meet state/company requirements. HS diploma or GED required; CDA or degree in early education preferred.

Qualifications

• Must pass required state and company background checks.
• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings preferred.
• CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities to meet the children’s needs and interests.
• Maintain open communication with parents about daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following procedures and guidelines.
• Provide support in any classroom or age group across the center as needed.
