Job summary

Otero College Child Development Services in La Junta, CO is seeking a Substitute for the OC Head Start program. This part-time position provides support to maintain a safe, healthy environment for children in early childhood education settings.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow Head Start standards and state regulations.
• Must be able to take directions and work in a team.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with child care activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a safe, healthy classroom environment.
• Adhere to Head Start policies and Center procedures.
• Support mission and goals of the program and engage with families.
• Participate in required in-service training and workshops.
• Provide support to teachers and supervise children during activities.
• Report and document suspected child abuse per Colorado law.
