Family Health Centers at NYU Langone in Brooklyn is seeking an Early Childhood Education Aide for a part-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The role involves assisting the Early Childhood Educator with developmentally appropriate lessons and a collaborative team environment.

You will help provide stimulating activities, encourage parent involvement, and record observations while keeping the room clean and supporting daily classroom duties in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Warm, caring and outgoing personality required.
• Ability to work well with others and maintain positive relationships with children, parents and staff.
• Preferred qualifications include a CDA Certificate and prior childcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Early Childhood Educator in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons.
• Work with a team to provide a stimulating environment and activities.
• Encourage parent involvement and participate in conferences as needed.
• Set individual goals and record anecdotal observations for each child.
• Keep classroom clean and organized; assist with toileting and other duties as assigned.
