Job summary

CAP Services Inc. is seeking an assistant to support the teacher by preparing and conducting classroom activities that provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum, using the program’s philosophy and Creative Curriculum.

This part-year, 16-hour-per-week position offers starting pay of $15.41–$16.95 per hour, depending on experience. Qualifications include high school diploma, required CPR/CPR AED within 2 months of hire, and Abusive Head Trauma training prior to working at the center.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• Completion of two courses in Early Childhood Education through an institute of higher education.
• Six months’ related work experience working in Early Childhood.
• Must obtain and maintain a current certificate of completion for infant and child CPR w/AED (CPR) within 2 months of hire.
• Certificate of completion of Abusive Head Trauma training prior to working at the center.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in preparing and conducting classroom activities which provide a developmentally age and stage appropriate curriculum, utilizing developmentally appropriate practices as outlined in the Program’s philosophy and Creative Curriculum.
